After Tahrir- Building a New Egypt Central to the mission of the American University in Cairo, is a commitment to community service and civic engagement. Volunteer@AUC advertises, coordinates and supports volunteer a wide array of volunteer initiatives sponsored by AUC. This site works as an online clearinghouse for a full range of volunteer opportunities; providing information and helpful tips for volunteers and organizers; identifying opportunities for collaboration in sponsored volunteer initiatives; tracking the amount of volunteering conducted by AUCians; and providing a foundation for future growth of volunteer services at AUC.
